Kara Miller, Pre-K Teacher
Kara moved to Virginia in 2018 and settled in Staunton in 2021. A big kid herself, Kara is always seeking ways to engage with children of all ages. She loves the energy and joy of early childhood and is excited to be back in the classroom. She has a degree in East Asian Studies from Smith College and a passion for childhood development. She has been a teacher in Japan, an independent ceramic artist, a full-time mother, a dedicated nanny, a daycare substitute, and an energetic organizer of activities for neighborhood kids. Dance parties with her two daughters, volunteering with immigrant families, making (and eating) vegetarian food, and hiking in the valley keep her busy after school hours.
