The Personnel Team has the following responsibilities:

  • Make an annual recommendation to the Session for changes in compensation for staff, excluding preschool staff.
  • Collaborate with church members and staff, as needed, to develop or revise position descriptions.
  • Develop and recommend personnel policies to the Session as needed to limit risk exposures; review policies annually and propose updates as necessary.
  • Implement a plan of equal employment opportunities, developed in consultation with the Presbytery and approved by the Session.
  • Provide a review process for staff to assist in work planning.
  • Encourage professional growth and development for all staff.
  • Act as a support group for the pastors and other members of the staff.
  • Confer with the pastors on any important issues of concern.
  • Serve as a primary resource for the peaceful and just resolution of conflicts involving personnel.
